Dear Parents,

 

Beacon Hill School is participating in the government's Seasonal Flu Vaccination program for all students this year. The Seasonal Influenza Vaccine (SIV) is a highly effective way to protect against flu and its complications.

 

Eligible Students

All students are encouraged to get vaccinated, except those with known contraindications.

 

Vaccine Provider and Vaccine Type

The Department of Health has partnered us with VACC Medical Limited to provide the SIV on-site. Only Nasal vaccines will be available. Injectable vaccine is not offered on-site. Please note that the vaccine type and service provider for the seasonal flu vaccine program are designated to us by the government.

 

Dosage

Students who have been vaccinated in the past will need only one dose. Those receiving their first vaccination will require two doses, administered at least four weeks apart.

 

Vaccination Dates

1st Dose: 2 October 2025

2nd Dose: 11 December 2025

Important Note: Students who have already received the first dose this year must complete the second dose at the same clinic and cannot sign up for the second dose at school.

 

Consent Forms

Consent forms have been sent home with your child today. Please complete all your and your child's information and sign the form.

 

Required Documentation

If your child does not have a HKID or a HK Birth Certificate, please provide a copy of one of the following documents:

• Notification slips for condition of stay
• Notification slips for entry visa/permit
• Permit of travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau (commonly known as a two-way exit permit) / passport.

 

Data Sharing

Please be aware that we will share your and your child's information with VACC Medical Limited and the Department of Health.

 

Deadline

The deadline for submitting completed consent forms is on Monday, 8 September 2025. Late submissions or incomplete forms will not be accepted.

 

Please note that participation in the flu vaccine programme is entirely voluntary.
