Article in today's Young Post

Our year 6 students were interested in this article in today's Young Post about 'a strange astronomical alignment' which meant that at 11:34 am they would be able to jump higher than they ever had before.  The year 6 teachers thought it was only fair to let them have a go.

Hopefully you can see the article was written by April Fu, with other interestingly named people quoted throughout, such as Nasa's Major Joe Kerr, Hong Kong's athletic boss Wye Yu La-phing and local student So Fun-yi to name a few!

I did promise one member of staff that I wouldn't tell anyone that they didn't realise the article was an April Fool's joke, so, Miss Chung, don't worry, I didn't tell anyone!

wow mr phesent i didn't know you can trick people for april fool's day you made them jump for about an hour there in
the playground and no wonder mybe they must have been sweating it was burning hot down there in the playground you know?Cool

This was brilliant-although we, you know, sort of made a fool of ourselves. Right? Yeah, though I have to admit that I sort of persuaded my friends to join in with the actual jumping, you know, though they kept pestering me with the awful truth: "Karen, don't you see, it's a joke! It's a prank! It's a trick! Don't jump!". I feel humiliated now!

I was also evesdropping and I heard it was a prank! I tried to tell everyone but they all just jumped. I also jumped but for no reason.
